Through out my years of designing graphics I have learned the true meaning of trial and error. It is simply not possible to list samples of all the different graphics I have created due to limited space and time. So, I have compiled some samples and the stories behind them to help you understand some of the ways I tend to work and how I developed my final products. If you have any questions or desire further information, please feel free to contact me.
Cubed Creations Website
The development of the Cubed Creations site has taken longer than any project I have worked on to date, mainly due to my never ending quest for perfection. Below I have displayed a few of the many, and I mean many, different ideas I have had for this site.
This was one of the first ideas I worked with. I wanted to try and utilize a 3d cube flying in along with the slogan. This logo was very basic and just simply did not express what Cubed Creations was about. |
On this design I worked with a blue cloud as the back drop and let it bleed through the logo and button bar. I really liked the look and feel on this design but yet again, I felt like something was missing. |

This concept was created in a 3d animation program called Lightwave. I use the program often for my video production work and came up with the idea of having the logo floating on a pool of water with pipes that lead to tanks at the top.
The tanks would end up being buttons for the website. I truly liked the concept but after working on it for a week or so I was pulled into a new project for a customer. Once I came back to this design some weeks later, I had a new vision of what I wanted. |
...Success!
This design finally fulfilled what I was looking for. I wanted something that expressed my creativity along with clean lines. I chose a softer blue that complemented the white lettering adding to the over all clean look and feel of the logo.
Furthermore, my wife helped me come up with a new slogan that describes what Cubed Creations is all about. |

Speedtek Performance Website
Speedtek Performance wanted a complete redesign of their existing website. They wanted to retain their logo but add new features and a new look and feel to their website. I also had to create a full shopping cart system for their products. I started off utilizing the colors in their logo and worked on a clean professional design. One of the more unique features in the site is the drivers page, which focused attention on some of the drivers that use Speedtek parts in their race cars. The drivers section needed to showcase the drivers in a way that both honored them and their cars. There are many other great areas within the site and I feel the site has turned out to be one of my favorite sites to date.
With red and blue being the primary colors in the logo, I tried to expand on the colors with blue being the dominate and red used as more of a highlight. Additionally I use some grays to help separate the colors and add some depth to the page.
If you follow the link below you will see more examples of the colors used in different ways. Of particular note is the drivers pages and the products page.

Lane's Performance Website
Lane's Performance posed some unique challenges through its development. When I began the project, I had been working on some new techniques and wanted to find a way to implement them into the site. It took a while, but after all was said and done, I feel like I accomplished what I had set out to do. The samples below show some of the various characteristics in both versions of the site.
This was my original concept for Lane's website. Being an automotive performance shop I tried to incorporate a classic look and feel into the design. I used some heavy chrome effects and ended up having something that to me resembled a high performance engine.
I personally like the look of it, but Lane did not feel the same. So in the end, I scraped it and started from scratch. |
This was what I came up with next. This design is full of details that are hard to see at first, but add to the overall look and feel of the site. This site has to be one of my favorites and was worth all the time I spent on it.
These sample pictures do not really show all of the details, so for a closer look at the site I have placed a link below.

To the left is a phonebook advertisement I created for Lane's. Every graphic I make is completely custom made for the specific media for which it is intended. |

The Body Catalyst Website
The Body Catalyst is my wife's company which provides some excellent health and nutrition products. When I began this site, she wanted something simple. I spent a fair amount of time working on what picture I thought best projected the proper image. Below is an example of what the site looks like.
I began with the idea of a gold medal which would project high quality and a kind of purity that the products had. The simplicity of the site makes it easy for customers to browse the products and related nutrition information without getting distracted by a lot of features. |

The Body Catalyst has gone through some changes. My wife wanted a more soft feel to the site and different colors. We went through a ton of color combinations but in the end we settled on a nice purple with yellow for the mouse over buttons.

Total Roofing and Total Gutter Websites
Total Roofing was one my earlier projects and it was some what basic due to the budget. Soon after finishing the Total Roofing website, Total Gutter was created. I have displayed some of the images of that site below.
I utilized a 3d software program to create the main logo. Further into the site I used a blue metallic look on the bars which worked well with the yellow lettering.
I also created a flash house for the design page which allows customers to get a rough idea of how some of the roof color and gutter colors look. For a better look at this site click the link below.
| In addition to the website I also handle all of the graphics for Total Roofing and Total Gutter. The graphics on the right have been used for business cards, car and yard signs, and the company's large trucks. |

Kenilworth Asset Management Website
Kenilworth is based in one of the more prominent areas around Chicago and the website needed to project that. I worked on creating various logos for the company, but in the end we settled on just the clean look of the company's name. The samples below illustrate that.
I used a simple arch along with some small lines to help break up the page. They add a sense of style while not over doing it.
The real key to this page was the color. The use of a dark navy blue on top of a light gray, really added to the over-all look and feel of the website. The link below will take you to their site for a closer look.

Walsh Financial Services Website
Walsh Financial Services is a small company located in Indiana. The owners needed a simple way to provide information to their clients and the site I designed was based on that. Working closely with the owners, I also created the company's logo and maintain graphical support for the company. The samples below highlight this website.
The logo is based around a lighthouse which represents a feeling of guidance. Next I worked in the company's name on top with a focus on the WFS letters. These letters are commonly used through the company's literature. I used a nice maroon along with a golden marble texture to add a sense of richness to the site. Click the link below to view the site. |

Rampage Road Website
Rampage Road is my personal site. It might look simple in design but it has a ton of features built inside of it. I wanted a highly stylized site yet user friendly. I have received a large amount of compliments on the over all look and design. In the samples below you can get an idea of how I worked with some basic colors to add to the design.
When the site first loads up it is very simple with just a look of black and white. This all changes once you mouse over the first link. I used bright colors as accents which brings the page to life. This was all accomplished without the use of Flash. I have provided a link below for a closer look of this in action.

National Bond & Trust Website
National Bond & Trust had a very basic website when they approached me. The company wanted a whole new look and feel to their site. They needed a site which was very user friendly and professional looking. Their client base ranges from a single investor to some of the largest companies in the market today.
I designed the sight to be very patriotic and bold. The company wanted to project a strong sound image that you could depend on. I had to recreate the Savings Bonds logo from scratch and then incorporate the eagle into the logo. This site is in the final phases of development and I will provide a link to the site when it is up and running. National Bond & Trust |
